Test, Report and Maintain Suncoast Asphalt is seeking to appoint a Laboratory Technician for their laboratory located in Brisbane’s northern suburb of Narangba . We are seeking a self-motivated candidate with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who is physically fit and possesses a strong work ethic. In your new role, you will: Carry out a wide range of testing for construction materials such as asphalt and aggregates Undertake testing results analysis and interpretation Carry out equipment calibrations Setting up and maintaining of equipment Assist the technical team This role is a great fit for you, if you have: Proven success in a technical or laboratory environment Ability to work flexible hours including night shift and weekends as required Ability to work under pressure and problem solve Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques preferred, but not essential Have knowledge of laboratory set up & calibration requirements preferred, but not essential 2 years’ experience in Construction Materials Testing or similar field preferred, but not essential Excellent Health and Safety behaviours Strong literacy and numeracy skills (written & verbal) with excellent attention to detail A valid driver’s license An ability to take ownership and manage your own area of responsibility without close supervision What we offer: From $33.32 p/hour - higher rates available for experienced technicians.
